So its been almost a month since I've blogged and with finals coming up and the stress level going through the roof, I think this is a great time to reflect on the brighter side of life.

School is quickly coming to a close and pretty soon my room in Holden Hall will be all mine. Inevitably it will be a pigsty, but that's beside the point. I will have peace and quiet and nothing to do but bring in the MONEY!!! Less than a month until the cruise and only 25 more actual classes left for me to attend. Yay for that!!

I'm short on words right now as it is 2:30 am and I just want some sleep, so that is it...for now, but watch out...the blog is BACK!!!!

" When life tinkles in your pool of opportunities, add some chlorine, and keep on swimming."
This is a reason for celebration. ERIN IS COMING HOME TONIGHT!!! I won't get to see her tonight, but she will be here, and even though I won't be there I left her a little something to come home to. Who doesn't like balloons even if the only appropriate one had a Snoopy on it, hopefully the mints will make up for the cheesiness of the balloon. Can't wait for the next few days. Fun is always had at the Davis household, NO ONE gets in the way of that so I'm not worried. Tomorrow, in fact, I see Burger King breakfast in my future then a trip to the oral surgeon (for Erin to talk about her wisdom teeth) and then a real Slurpee from 7-11, it'll be my third one in 5 days. Sweet. Feeling relaxed...perhaps too relaxed. Time for some Billy!!

Ok, this might sound completely silly, but one thing I am totally happy about is being able to tell my friends I love them. I love my friends. I have some great ones. Some great ones that are, if you ask me, way too far away. But I remember the days in middle school where the farthest you'd get to expressing affection was to buy one of those friends forver necklaces. Telling your friends you loved them would definitely get you labeled as gay. Not that being gay is a terrible thing, but not what I was going for when telling my friends I love and appreciate them. See what I'm saying?? Even in high school we were able to begin to tell our friends how much they mean to us, but still not quite as openly as we are now. So to all my friends I just want to say I LOVE YOU!! because I can and I do!!

What's really great is when your friends write in their diaries about that funny story from the weekend that you wanted to tell so you can just copy and paste it into your own. Here is a little bit from "Molly's Diary o fun"

"so here's a new equation I learned on thursday night. Alcohol + An unwrapped Peppermint Patty + Go Fish + Sarah's ass = disaster for sarah and a lot of laughs for me and carl. I shall explain. While playing drunken go fish (we couldn't think of any good three person card games) sarah decided that we needed to listen to Dashboard Confessional and was changing the playlist and managed to sit on my unwrapped peppermint patty. I didn't notice nor did Sarah or Carl. So later when sarah stands up the is a smushed peppermint patty stuck to her ass and peppermint patty embedded in my carpet. IT was hillarious then sarah some how managed to get a paper towel stuck to the peppermint patty on her butt and when we tried to get that off it just ripped and half the paper towel stayed on her butt. IT was so funny. It may not be that funny to you but we were drunk and it was hillarious to us."

Now, please note. I was not drunk. I mean any sober person could have sat on a peppermint patty, and what was it doing in the go fish playing area anyway?? If I weren't studying for my STUPID ASC midterm I'd write more. I was hoping Ken Kessel would say somethign momentous for the occasion, but he didn't. Crap. Now I have to find something. I should quote myself. Molly and I said something really funny earlier, but I can't think of it. Darn. I'm getting old. What was I doing again?? Oh. Quote..ok...

I thought that I was going to be bitter and cynical about this whole Valentine's Day thing because I am lacking a Valentine. The Valentine I did have ditched me to do homework, ouch. That hurts the esteem, but actually while I was in the shower after a great V-day workout, I was thinking about the past 4 V-days. Hm. They've been amazing. I have some great, special memories from Valentine's Days past, compliments of Nbraas and Jerry.

4 years ago, Valentine's Day 1999 was Jerry and I's first date. What a memorable day. I never saw him act like such a gentleman after that. We went to a movie. That was before my parents got a chance to hate him, so even they approved. Classic.

On to 2000. I was grounded. I'm not sure how an angel like me could have gotten in any trouble, but it happened. Jerry came over. It was a Monday. We watched wrestling AND Dirty Dancing, it was a compromise of sorts. He liked to watch wrestling, heaven help him, and I didn't.

2001, Nbraas era. Ahh..this one is memorable fo sho. It was the cutest surprise ever. He went crazy out of his way to make it a day I'd never forget, and I haven't. Its funny how guys will go to the ends of the earth to please you when they really care about you until you hurt them (2002 will definitley explain that). I came home at lunch and was met by a flower delivery man and Nbraas. I got roses in a box, just like I'd always wanted. It was an awesome surprise. I even had to be blindfolded in the car, even though I knew where we were going....I'll leave it at that. Then dinner at Mongolian. It was perfect, well until we got in a fight....ahhh....memories.

2002. I had class until 7:20. We watched a movie in my room and ordered pizza. Definitely didn't live up to the year before, but its not about flashy dates and gifts, its about being with someone you care about. Ahh...so as I sit here by myself I can remember good times and smile...and I am.
